We cannot recommend Jason enough! Our dog, Frances, has made incredible progress thanks to his training. Before working with Jason, Frances struggled with several behaviors, including pulling on the leash, barking when the doorbell rang, chasing our cats, and getting on the couch when she wasn’t supposed to. After training with Jason, she now has reliable recall, understands commands like “go home” and “stay,” walks beautifully on a loose leash, leaves our cats completely alone, stays calm when the doorbell rings, and stays off the couch. The transformation has been amazing. Frances is so much more well-behaved, and our home feels much calmer and more enjoyable. Jason was patient, knowledgeable, and gave us practical tools that really worked. If you’re looking for a dog trainer who delivers real results, we highly recommend Jason!

Canine by Design answered my e-mail and was able to locate a dog that was about a year old and had the temperament that I needed for a service dog. I changed the tasks and those were changed as I requested. I had several days of training with the dog to make sure I was handling her correctly. The main person I worked with was Jason and I would recommend them for excellent service.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Canine by Design. Our 1 year old husky mix that we recently rescued had no prior training beyond being house broken and knowing sit. After a lot of patience and effort on our own the past couple months, we were feeling a little hopeless that we wouldn’t be able to get him to listen to us on or off leash anytime we were not at home. It makes for a very dangerous situation when you have a dog that wants to say hi to every living animal and explore far and wide in nature with absolutely not a care in the world. You know what they say, huskies ears are merely decorative. Hope was truly restored when we found Canine by Design and had Cowboy stay and train with Mason at his home for three weeks. We selected leash manners, dog neutrality and recall as our three main focuses during his stay. When we got Cowboy back after 21 days with Mason, we truly could NOT believe our eyes. Not only did Cowboy understand what was being asked of him, but he was capable of making good decisions on his own!! This was HUGE. He has incredible recall now, very polite leash walking skills and impulse control. We are absolutely delighted to be able to go on walks and have him ignore dogs, tune into us, listen off leash and reliably recall. Our lives are completely changed for the better, and so is Cowboy’s life!! Afterall, what we love about living in Utah is how much fun there is to have in nature. We are so so excited for this upcoming summer and camping/hiking/adventuring now that we can trust our dog to listen and also make good decisions. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the foundation of training for our dog that we did not know where to start with adopting a rescue. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Canine by Design!
