Canine City

Andy is amazing! He is patient and a great listener. When we were looking for a trainer for our German Shepard, Piper. We wanted a trainer that was willing to work with us and operated from a home setting. Piper was an excessive barker in the car and no longer barks after a 3- week training program. We trust Andy and are very happy with Piper results. It feels great to have Andy and his family always available to help us with boarding as well. If you are looking for a trainer that will listen, support and help you with your pawppy, look no further- he is the one!

The transformation in our pup has been amazing. From being almost impossible to walk to easily being able to be walked multiple times a day with him walking calmly by our side. The 2 weeks spent with Andy were like getting a brand new dog. Realizing that a lot of the work was on how we interacted with the pup was a game changer. I can't recommend Andy enough! Even happier that Bexar now continues with Daycare and continues reinforcement of his training. If you're ready to do the work and be consistent with your pup...then Andy is your guy!

Andy is amazing! He showed us how to walk our 9mo Australian Shepard properly. He was a very easily distracted dog, and we left a 90 minute session with a changed dog. We wish we would’ve booked an appointment earlier! Don’t hesitate to book, if you think you need help - Andy is the one for you. He is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and professional. One day after boarding I caught myself saying, wow, I can finally speak Gogo. Gogo our dog is a vocal feisty clever 3-year old girl - too clever for us. We tried techniques, been successful with 1 - 2 things but not all her day-to-day. We could tell she was frustrated, and so were we. Barking was one thing, but her aggressiveness to people has been so overwhelming we couldn't have people over, let alone let the Amazon guy deliver a package without filling the comment section with: "Beware, our dog thinks you are her nemesis." I was skeptical like you must be before boarding - we've had 3 trainers in the past - 1. too aggressive 2. too reward based 3. board for a week but just handed her to us with a "good luck" which changed very little so you can understand we had Qs before joining Canine City's alumni. But they did a great job with her. We saw regular videos of her, and then managed the hand off seamlessly. But, to be honest, its a lot! Try not to do it all in one day. We are 1.5 hours away so we crammed it all in but I wish I spent more time on walks and understanding some of the tools better. I guess that's what the follow up sessions are for. Looking forward to continuing to have a good relationship with my doggy daughter and being able to speak and understand her needs. Thanks Andy and Canine City team.

I thought i failed my dog. Milo is 4 years old and was extremely anxious and reactive to many things. His behavior came unpredictable and i was worried for his safety. After his 3 week board and train with Andy, Milo is a completely different dog! Andy is extremely informative and passionate about what he does. Milo is now his best self and listens. There is a huge list of great thinks for me to say, but you are better off booking with The Canine City and experiencing these amazing services for you and your dog first hand! -Joevonna B
