[Please read this review in its entirety] My husband and I recently purchased a boarding session for our dog Fancy, who is a lively 6-year-old Beagle mix. We scheduled a consultation at Canine Coaching, which was offered for free during December (usually $50), and it was insightful. The investment was close to $3,000 for reference. Here's a breakdown of our experience: Consultation Experience: The owner engaged us in a separate room, observing Fancy's behaviors while discussing the boarding details thoroughly. We initially assumed the owner would be the main trainer conducting the training, but it was handled by another staff member ( which was fine. ) Clarity on this aspect during the consultation would have been appreciated and could possibly meet that person. Boarding Process: We were advised to bring Fancy's pillow and a large bag of food for her comfort during the month-long stay. Weekly visits allowed us to monitor Fancy's progress, although arranging a facility tour required early morning visits, which could be better communicated or even added to consultation process. Communication and Concerns: Initially, we faced challenges in receiving pictures, but the issue was promptly addressed. Suggestions for improvement include installing cameras for real-time monitoring during doggy daycare, enhancing peace of mind for pet owners. Graduation and Follow-Up: Graduation turned out to be a simple review session rather than a formal ceremony, which could be clarified beforehand. We invited family but they could of stayed home. Post-boarding consultation sessions have been rescheduled multiple times, which could be streamlined for better customer experience. Also,believe that it should not be the customers responsibility to reach out / follow-up and reschedule each time. Overall Impressions: Fancy enjoys her time at the daycare, and the staff's care is evident, earning it a solid 5-star rating. However, concerns regarding communication, scheduling, and clarity during consultations led to a 3-star rating for boarding and training services. With improvements in customer service and communication, Canine Coaching has the potential to earn a higher rating overall. Recommendation and Final Thoughts: In conclusion, while we encountered some areas for improvement during our boarding experience at Canine Coaching, we appreciate the care Fancy receives and the convenience of daycare services as well as grooming. We recommend asking detailed questions during consultations to ensure clarity on training arrangements, facility tours, and graduation ceremonies.
