Canine Country Club of the South

Karisha and Canine Country Club of the South are amazing! We rescued a dog who was 43lbs and very meek when we found him. We were told he was 2-3 years old. When we took him to our vet, he said he was probably 6 months old. Needless to say, he had a lot of growing to do, both physically and mentally. As he got used to being in his new home, he became more active, and got out of control. He grew almost 6" taller and more than double his weight! His barking, digging, and active playing (he likes to box, and he knocked both my wife and son down multiple times) led to exasperation. We weren't able to stop his barking, and we couldn't get him into a kennel. He would panic, and it became clear something in his past had made him afraid of being closed in. We tried two different trainers. The first of which used a growling technique to get his attention when we needed it. It worked for about two weeks, then he realized he could ignore us. The second trainer tried to tell us that I could NEVER say "No" to him. This type of peace, love, and happiness didn't work with him either. We were at our wits end. We had many arguments, some serious over this dog. I was ready to return him to the rescue (not really, but I felt that way sometimes). We were driving down Hwy 16 one day when we happened to drive by Karisha's manor. We saw the sign, and my wife looked it up. We contacted her, and made an appointment to meet her. After almost two hours of Karisha explaining her training program, we decided to leave our dog with her right then and there. That was how much confidence she gave us in that time. He stayed for about a month, with constant training. When we came to pick him up, he was like a new dog. He behaved, listened to us, paid attention to us, and his barking was curbed dramatically. As we got him home, Karisha had told us that if we saw any problems to let her know and she would address them. Sure enough, he slid backwards on a few of his behaviors. Don't get me wrong, the change was still beyond our dreams. However, we contacted Karisha and she had us bring him back in for another two weeks of boot camp. When she finished with him, he was doing great again, and has since kept doing good. Now, when we travel, we board him with Karisha, and when he is there he re-enters training and also helps train other dogs there. He has access (supervised) to her entire land, and comes home happy, well-exerecised, and it is very clear that he is well loved taken care of. We love Karisha, her staff, and her business. She has restored our love of our dog, and we will continue to use Karisha and Canine Country Club of the South for years to come!! We highly recommend Karisha and CCCOS!!!!
