Canine Initiative Training

We have 2 dogs. One of our dogs was showing aggression toward other dogs and people. We were afraid we would have to give her up because we were afraid to have her around our grandchildren. She also pulled at the leash constantly while out on a walk. Because of her behavior our other dog started copying her. Will was a godsend! He is very knowledgeable and is also good about teaching us how to train our dogs. We were only going to do a couple of sessions but ended up doing 7 because he was helping us with other issues too. We are going to work on refining the techniques he taught us. We also bought 3 sessions for our son for training his dog.

My daughter and I got our puppy Miles from BARC and knew that he was a super shy and very timid puppy. While trying to get him to the car to go home he refused to walk on a leash and had to be carried. This continued for the first few months and he had to be carried up and down 3 flights of stairs every time he needed to go potty or to the vet. Knowing he would eventually be a 60 pound dog I started researching various ways to try and get him leash trained only to have everything I tired fail. I was given Will’s name with Canine Initiative through a doggie daycare and called him immediately. Not only did Will come to me, but within 10 minutes he had Miles walking on a leash and gave me homework to do until his next visit. In his next visit Miles was not only walking on a leash but also going down all three flights of stairs all on his own. I’m not sure what kind of magic Will has with animals, but I am honestly stunned and amazed at how effortless his training is and can guarantee that no matter what trouble you’re having he can help! I can’t say enough good about him personally and his professionalism is top notch.

When my pup began exhibiting some serious leash aggression we were at our limit. He was terrorizing other dogs in our apartment complex to the point where other residents would see us and run the opposite direction to avoid us. This was not only embarrassing but it was also stressful for both me and my fiance as we had no clue how to calm him or deter him from this behavior.
