Leah helped us in multiple ways with our sibling Goldendoodle puppies (quarantine decisions). Love her positive approach to working with a dog’s instincts and energy. She asked lots of questions and walked us through clear ways to work with the dogs. She coached us as we practiced and followed up in more detail afterwards. We had some sessions and videos from other trainers, but found Leah has a knack for breaking down things into steps we could follow and repeat that made a lasting difference.

Leah is an excellent option for dog care in the Greater Portland Area. She is very responsive, extremely reliable, and clearly very savvy in the ways of our canine companions. Leah visits my home when I put in long days at work to spend time with my dog, who is wary both of strangers and other dogs. Oh, and she's terrible on a leash. Still, Leah manages to give her some structured exercise and company when I am unavailable. I love that Leah reports back after every visit with details on how my dog is doing that day. It puts my mind at ease. I initially balked at her hourly rate, but then quickly realized that the peace of mind and level of care is worth the money. Leah isn't just a dog walker - she's a trainer. She has my full confidence for any animal and I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Leah is amazing! We initially hired her walk our dogs during the day but her skills and abilities as a holistic trainer have turned them into the best walking dogs in Scarborough! They both love to see her when she comes through the door! She is compassionate and as good with people clients as she is pups, offering educational tips on any questions we have on our dogs health, training, behavior, etc. Truly the best trainer in the business.

Leah has been a tremendous help to me with my rescue dog who is anxious and has been the most challenging dog I have had so far. If I didn't live so far away I would take every class and training with Leah that I could. Instead I have gotten support from her via phone consults and online in a study group. She really understands the true nature of dogs and has so much experience dealing with all kinds of issues! Don't hesitate to work with her!

We have 3 rescue dogs with varying temperaments, including a Sato puppy who came to us very loving and pretty anxious from his early life experiences and transitions; as well as a high-strung husky with a trauma history. Leah has show so much empathy for the dogs and the humans, and has set clear expectations for us while patiently recognizing our so-human imperfections. I e are learning how to help these dogs work through their feelings instead of expecting submissive obedience, and as a result we are seeing their true personalities, and the dogs seem to genuinely want to work with us. Dog training is a lot of work, no matter what model you use, and Leah has been attentive to our million questions, frequent emails, and need for clarification. I think she loves our dogs as much as we do, so I know she’s always thinking of what’s best for them. Lastly, the online community has been essential. I can’t imagine doing this any other way.
