Canine Pro Dog Training & Behavior Modification

Brian boarded and cared for our bernedoodle, Pearl for two weeks as if she was his own. He constantly updated us about her progress and shared instructional videos so we were prepared for her return home. We were able to share these videos with additional family members to reinforce the commands she learned. In addition, Brian not only taught Pearl, sit, stay, down, place, leave it (with our cat), but he showed us how important brief training sessions are mentally to reduce her energy levels. Not only was Pearl learning, but she was truly having fun during the training. Brian is now working with us to prepare for our newest addition (a baby)! Highly recommend Brian, you will not be disappointed.

Brian is a life saver!! Just picked my one year old doberman up from the board and train program and I couldn't be happier or ask for a better outcome/results. I was super worried once we got her home and around the chaos of our 3 small children and older male dog, she would go right back to her bad behaviors and habits but she's doing phenomenal and we're all having so much fun practicing everything she learned Brian really did such a wonderful job laying the ground work and giving her a solid foundation of basic obedience and the behavior modification she so desperately needed. I could not be in the same room as my dog without getting frustrated, knocked over, or in a tug of war match. Now she is truly a pleasure to be around. We reached out to Brian initially just to consult for some training sessions for our new pup. We have an extremely chaotic home with young children and another older dog so we were a bit overwhelmed adding another pup to the mix ! From the beginning, Brian was very knowledgeable, informative and obviously very passionate about his work. Brian explained all of the options and expectations for all the different types of training and we chose to do the 2 week board and training and I am SO HAPPY we did. Brian sent daily updates with accompanying YouTube videos of his progress throughout the 2 weeks. Our pup seemed right at home and it was obvious that he formed a trusting bond with Brian. He gave us advice on certain training tools, what type of kennel to get, type of bed, toys, treats etc. which was truly very helpful. Brian went above and beyond when he noticed that our pup had a UTI. He tested his urine which showed a + result and offered to bring him to the vet so he could start him on antibiotics asap. We were so incredibly grateful. When we picked up our pup, Brian was very patient and took a good amount of time teaching my husband and I his new routines and training techniques. We were AMAZED when we brought him home ! He’s doing better and better each day that passes with housebreaking, even with all the craziness that surrounds him! And now we have a lot of fun involving our older daughter in the obedience piece of it, and our pup loves the quality time too. If you’re looking for someone to train your dog that is kind, caring, dedicated and extremely skillful, would 10/10 recommend!!!

Having our 7 month old puppy spend 2 weeks with Brian was one of the best decisions our family has ever made. I heard mixed reviews about the “board and train” concept, but for us, it was exactly what we needed- for both our dog Tilly, and especially us. Brian taught us a language where we could understand each other better. As he explained to us, dogs want to please us. If we are not clear in our requests (commands) and use too many words (a big problem of mine 🥴), they don’t know what we want, become frustrated, and innocently “misbehave.” He also taught us how to control her surroundings in a way that sets her up for success; rather than failure. Brian was extremely communicative before, during, and after the 2 week training. We texted constantly, received play by play coverage, as well as suggestions for things we might want to try when she came home. The best part were the training videos he put on YouTube for us. We were able to study and practice all the techniques used. We were also able to share the videos with our kids and friends who see Tilly regularly. The day we picked her up, we spent almost 3 hours there, ourselves being trained! I guess not all families are willing to put in the effort and he seemed to appreciate that we were all in. Since the training, he has come to our house 2 times so far for continued training… a really nice perk of board and train! Brian is one of those people whose career is his passion. His knowledge for dog/human behavior is extensive and we could clearly see the bond he formed with Tilly. I believe Brian gave us a huge gift in understanding, and loving, our dog on a level we feared we’d never reach.
