Suzi is just amazing. My husband and I were so overwhelmed with the littermate Shih Tzu's we added to our family. We quickly realized we needed help, and wow did we find it. Suzi has been able to help us work through and develop a plan to address training issues, basic manners, socialization and safety. She's pragmatic and direct and doesn't hesitate to correct the dogs OR us when there is a misstep. I know her specialty is generally dogs with more challenging issues than a couple of stubborn dogs that together barely weigh 25 pounds.... but the knowledge we've gained is just invaluable, and these dogs are turning out even better than we had hoped. Literally cannot say enough good things. We're grateful every day for her guidance and encouragement.

For us, our pets are part of our family. We got our first puppy, Finn, a great Pyrenees Australian cattle mix, in the summer of 2000. In the summer of 2022, we opened our home to Dori, an 2 year old Australian Heeler rescue. Things were not great at first. She and Finn did not get along, and her presence brought out aggression in Finn we’ve never seen before. Had we not found Suzi Schaefers with Canine Psychology Center, things may have turned out much worse for us all. We boarded both dogs with Suzi for six weeks in her boarding school program. When we brought the dogs home, it was like night and day. The thorough take-home lesson Suzi gave us when we picked them up was phenomenal and gave us the tools necessary to keep up what she had instilled in then. Without her and her expertise, we would not have the family we do now. We are forever grateful to Suzi and her expertise and for her continued support through the years.

Suzi has been a transformative force in our lives over the past year. Her extensive knowledge and approachable demeanor made it easy for us to communicate and address our concerns at every turn. Thanks to her expert guidance, we have healed our relationship with our boy and he has truly become a new dog—calm, balanced, and incident-free for over a year now. Suzi is always available to answer questions, never making us feel foolish for asking, which has been invaluable. As an added bonus, we’ve entrusted her with our dog's care while we vacationed, and her boarding service allowed us to relax, knowing he was in great hands. We were at our wits' end before we met her, but Suzi gave us all a new lease on life. We can't recommend her enough!
