Canine Purpose

Having brought a Blue Heeler puppy into our home, the extent of the Nature of the breed caught us off guard. We have now been training with Canine Purpose for almost a year and a half. I love the way they navigate us through the puppy stage, then into the intermediate classes and onto the advance classes. What really helps for us is the explanation of what is being done and why it resonates in the dog-brain...kind of training us at the same time, since it's obvious (at least with our breed), they are just looking for what works for them, and if left to their own devices, it would not be a fun experience. What makes it re-affirming is when we get constant compliments on the Nature and behavior of our pup out in public..."I've never met a heeler so well behaved and such a kind disposition"...our favorite. The trainers at Canine Purpose have helped me turn my dog reactive GSD/Malinois into a dog that can be relaxed in group classes, sometimes off leash and with no issues. My dog has learned basics such as loose leash walking and down stay to more advanced skills such as stay from a distance, recall from a distance, position work, down from a distance and down in motion and much, much more. We have also passed our CGC test, Advanced CGC test and will soon be taking our Urban CGC test. The obedience skills are obviously important to have for a happy and obedient dog, but also for my dog's safety. Most importantly, the classes and training are fun for my dog and me and have increased our bond. In addition to helping me with my own dog, Canine Purpose has helped some of our rescued dogs to be more adoptable. Also, their group class pricing structure is extremely reasonable. P.S.
