From day 1 Melinda was so thorough in getting to know me and my pup & learning what works/doesn’t work in training my pup while she settled in to her new home. I am getting a new puppy in a few weeks, how early should I start training? I don’t intend to show just want a very well behaved dog .
You can begin training at home once your puppy settles in. Housebreaking starts immediately ( take the puppy out hourly and try to keep a record of when they potty). Formal training should begin ( at a training facility) begins once the puppy has completed all veterinary recommended vaccinations (four to five months). Please do not take the puppy around places other dogs hang around until all vaccinations are completed. Melinda

So enjoyable learning at Canine Scents!! Three of my Goldens, (so far😉), have earned AKC titles here!! Looking forward to many more classes in the future!!
It has been a great experience for both Roxy and me. I plan to do another six weeks . I learn something new every visit.
Makes learning fun for both human and dog! Not set in stone how something is done...always adjusting to the situation and what actually works for you as a team to succeed. Great place-both inside or outside to work in...great for giving your dog experience in how to handle different elements. Love it!!
