The good news: dogs want to listen, you just need to learn to speak their language. And no, we’re not talking about that ridiculous dog whispering your grandmother swears by. These days, there are amazing new methods for raising dogs who behave like they went to Harvard. In psychology 101 terms its know as operant and classical conditioning, and in real life terms it’s known as “do something good and you’ll be rewarded.”

I can't express how wonderful if it to be able to walk our 110 LB dog in public and not struggle. Jason is amazing! We have owned several large breed dogs over the years and this is the first time I've felt comfortable in public with our dog on a leash and at home off leash. Well worth the investment!

Over the course of more than 30 years, my wife and I raised five Weimaraners and one Bassett Hound. Despite deeply loving the dogs, the one thing I personally did not enjoy with any of them was taking them for a walk. Actually, they used to take me for a walk. Forward, backward, side-to-side. It was utter chaos most of the time. We recently rescued a dog and decided to work with Jason to help train her. After a few short weeks the results have been truly transformational. For the first time, it has become a real pleasure to walk the dog. We're continuing to work with Jason as he helps us with general obedience training, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Canine Scholars for anyone looking to have a more rewarding relationship with their dog.
Jason came by today to help train our 16 week old golden - Max. It was fantastic! He was very informative in setting a proper foundation for Max to learn and thrive in obeying our commands moving forward. I wish we would have called sooner! Thanks again Jason! 10 out of 10!
