Canine Scholars Dog Training

We hired Canine Scholars because we felt that our two young male dogs were completely out of control. They would run from us at any chance given, jump on our guests, and would not obey commands with any distractions present. After just ONE visit with Jason from Canine Scholars, we saw an immediate change in both our dogs and our interaction with our dogs. In only FOUR visits, our dogs were already obeying us off-leash. I appreciate and learned quickly that CS wasn't just training out dogs, but was actually training US as well - specifically, how to interact with our dogs to keep their attention and control. Today, our dogs are completely off-leash. We can take them walking for miles around the neighborhood or to public places without worry of them running off. They, by command, are completely aware of the times they are allowed to run free, but respond immediately to return or stay commands. We absolutely recommend CS!!!!!! Thank you!

Canine Scholars has been a lifesaver for us and our three dogs! Each dog has a strong personality and a strong will and Canine Scholars has taught me and the dogs how to work together and stay in control. They are still a work in progress and I look forward to continuing to train the dogs with Canine Scholars and learn more myself. Wonderful experience! Our 70 lb labradoodle had gone through puppy school and e-collar training in our previous city. After our daughter came along 18 months ago, we became too slack with our obedience/consistency with him. Jason was super helpful over the phone and even gave me suggestions to try before he came out for the first visit. He set us up with a single session to start and to call him back as needed. I really appreciated the honesty and that he wasn't trying to get us to sign on for 10 sessions or something like that front. We would absolutely recommend Canine Scholars to anyone looking for a trainer!!!

From Dennis’ Wife: I needed my 2.5 year old black lab, Grace, trained as an Emotional Support Dog to assist me in upcoming travels. I found Jason’s web site and contacted him. He came to our house, evaluated her and laid out a plan of action. Grace began training with a crash course by staying with Jason 24/7 for 8 days. He taught her how to behave in crowds (Grace loves everyone, especially children, so this was no small feat), even how to ride an escalator! Next, he trained me to handle her. We went to the airport repeatedly, to the mall a couple of times – until I was confident. Jason did whatever it took and made me comfortable every step of the way. The payoff came when Grace sat at my feet in the airplane, for two flights, totaling over 1,700 miles to the Republic of Panama! Then came Customs, a stay in a Panama City hotel that normally refuses dogs, and Grace was able to do her job at every step along the way. Thanks Jason!

We called every trainer in town for help with our dogs. What was nice is Canine Scholars showed up with an actual dog to give us the whole dog and poney show. Most trainers we had come out either didn't show up with a dog or their dogs weren't impressive. We signed up and 3 weeks later I wish I would've called them years ago. My 3 year old was an absolute terror. I figured he would just grow out of the problems...yeah that never happened. Thank you sooooooo much, a little professional help makes all the difference.
