Not training your dog is like not educating your kid, all you end up with is a heedless and troublesome brat that no one can stand. The good news: dogs want to listen, you just need to learn to speak their language. And no, we’re not talking about that ridiculous dog whispering your grandmother swears by. These days, there are amazing new methods for raising dogs who behave like they went to Harvard. In psychology 101 terms its know as operant and classical conditioning, and in real life terms it’s known as “do something good and you’ll be rewarded.”

Hokie was super high strung, energy through the roof 24/7 that was so difficult to control. In literally just one week with Canine Scholars Hokie is so much more obedient, can better harness and control his energy, and completely off leash trained. It’s amazing. The ease, comfortability, and convenience of being able to push a baby stroller while having Hokie walk right by my side off leash in a busy environment is HUGE!!!

From our first lesson with Jason we knew that his training was going to make a difference for our dog. Our 2 year old French Spaniel was well-behaved but lacked proper social exposure and etiquette, reliability, and would only listen to commands when she felt like it. Right away, we saw a difference in our pup! We weren’t sure how we felt about using the e-collar, but we’re 2 months in and hardly using it now— it’s more of a back-up in case of worst case scenario. Which is exactly what Jason told us to expect! We also really appreciated how hands-on the training was for us owners. We learned along with her! We could not recommend Canine Scholars more highly. It is completely worth every single penny to have such a well mannered pup!

Jason and his team helped train our “stubborn” French bulldog. My wife alway ls wanted one and what we did not know is how stubborn they can be. Their team has boarded and trained many frenchies and were very knowledgeable on their tendencies and what to do. Fast forward 3 years - our dog uses his doggie doorbell to go to the bathroom daily, has never had an accident in the house and has never chewed or eaten anything in our house. The puppy training we did has made having our dog super easy!
Jason and crew did an amazing job with our two high energy pups, couldn't be happier with their training.
