Ok, so this review is very early - as I had only one half hour lesson here so far - so instead a FIRST IMPRESSION: Fantastic! We met with Nicole - one of/the owner - and she is everything I look for in a dog trainer - she noticed my pup's tentative nature instantly, had us pause in a small side room before continuing in. She explained what the situation was beyond the door, made sure I was ready to walk my pup into the main area advising me to treat her while walking to support her through the transition and past some likely emotional obstacles. She even offered to/and did - carry my bags so I could attend to my dog properly. Once in, she instructed me to let the puppy explore the environment (inside the training area) before attempting any actual training. These are exactly the warm up I was looking to do with my pup as I am familiar with these practices, but hearing her instantly take this approach confirmed I was in the "right" place with the right trainer with my sensitive pup. Once training, despite only a brief conversation she had a training plan for the day implemented right away. Her focus was perfectly appropriate for this pup - building some self confidence in a new environment while working on a core basic that has countless applications. And if you are wondering - Nikki has that trainer magic that focuses a pup and gets them to do exactly what is intended, on the first try. (I have experience and still looked like a bumbling idiot in comparison, ha!) I could go on - but instead, I'll just leave off with some details ans update after a few more visits. Details: Rewards based, positive reinforcement training. Included shaping in training right away, allowing the dog to figure something out, rather than just luring to the goal. (Both are valid but I feel a trainer willing to use shaping on day-one shows they aren't rushing, and have plenty of tools in repertoire). The main ring/work area is very large, well equipped, maintained and nice to work in. Classes. Private lessons. Agility. Etc. Conclusion: I genuinely look forward to learning from Nicole and training here! I recommend this place if you want actual dog training, tailored to you and your dog.

My dog and I LOVE coming here for our training sessions. I’m so grateful a coworker recommended this facility as we had to go through a horrible place first where my dog would literally shake in fear each time we went. She has stranger danger and is working through confidence issues and this facility has really helped her become more confident with each and every session. She literally drags me through the door each week and is so excited for her sessions. Thank you Andrea for all you do for Callie and I!!
