Canine Starr

I came upon Canine Starr after I got my first pup and wanted to work on fundamental groundwork. A good friend of mine worked with him in the past and only sang high praises after working with him. (Bonus points: he is local!) Joseph is very professional, and it’s evident that he has a strong passion for dogs. Working with him helped me build a strong relationship with my dog. He is was very communicative and patient with me throughout the entire process. I have nothing but good experience working with Joseph, so much so that I called on his service a second time after my dog entered his terrible twos era.

My dog Zissou, a 4 years old Doberman pincher grew up during the Covid lockdown and best part of the pandemic. He obviously wasn’t socialized properly and didn’t know what a busy Brooklyn street looked like, walking him was very challenging once things came back to “normal”; He was reactive and lacked confidence, until we met Joseph, he has taught us how to curve reactivity and reinforce obedience through treat training and e-collar. Nowadays Zissou is capable of having a relaxed walk, come in with me into stores and patiently waits while I enjoy a coffee outside. Joseph is a game changer! Professional, reliable and very knowledgeable. 1000% recommend.
