After years of waiting I finally felt ready to start over with a new pup. My last dog was naturally gentle and well behaved and only chewed a table leg during his puppy stage. I thought working from home it would be a piece of cake and I could handle anything given the training I did with past dogs. It didn’t take long before I realized my new buddy was nothing like my last dog. His energy is off the charts and while he is supper intelligent and learns quickly there are conditions of behavior that I simply could not get under control. I started calling around and simply couldn’t find a fit for what I felt was needed. I wanted someone who had years of experience and could formulate a plan specific to my needs. Also, I didn’t want to send my pup away, this is not about breaking his undesired habits but about me becoming educated, putting all the right tools in my toolbox so I can effectively work through the changes in behavior. Thank you Scott for doing what you do, I hope others will be inspired to not give up on building the necessary foundation in order to provide a rewarding experience with their canine companion.
