About Canine Training Services
My name is Doctor Elliott Briggs. I started this home-based company to do training right. I offer a wide range of dog training services including basic obedience, service dog training, canine rehabilitation (working with aggressive, fearful, or other unwanted behaviors) Before working with dogs I practiced clinical psychology and applied behavior analysis. Later on I adapted the behavior sciences I had learned to dog training. This has given me a strong understanding of both canine and human behavior. I love dogs and it is my goal to provide affordable and highly effective dog training. Whether you need your furry little buddy to support you, protect you, or just behave better. I can make it happen!

A couple months before we had our baby, we reached out to Elliott to help with our lab mix and French bulldog. They (we) needed help with training on manners, obedience, and some aggression issues. We have seen daily improvement with both boys with Elliott’s help. When baby arrived, he eve came over to help us with an introduction session for the dogs and baby to make sure we were going about it safely for the baby which calmed our anxiety as new parents! We still have some training to go but have enjoyed working with Elliott and will continue to do so!

Our rescue dog Goose was having issues with food/resource guarding and dog reactivity so we decided we needed a professionals help. Elliott quickly started sessions with Goose and we have seen very quick progression working through Goose’s problems. We learned in a safe environment that Goose wasn’t aggressive towards other dogs, just unsure of how to act around them and was easily startled by them barking from his time at the shelter. We were able to move on to obedience training fairly quickly while mixing in dog socialization sessions. We have had no other issues with food guarding since we started with Elliot’s techniques for training. You do have to ask for feedback and constructive criticism if you want it, it’s not something Elliot naturally does through training sessions but once we asked we got a lot more feedback on how we could improve our technique to get a better trained dog.

Working with Elliott with our two dogs has been a fantastic experience. Elliott brings a level of professionalism and expertise that we haven’t gotten with past trainers and I assume is rare to find. One of our dogs struggles with fear based aggression and Elliott has been instrumental in identifying and addressing these issues. We’ve made strides over the past month in working with Elliott that would not have been possible without his help. I’m looking forward to continue to work with him and am hopeful with his direction we can make a positive change in our dogs behaviors
