Canis Mountain Dog Training

I’ve now taken 3 courses with Canis Mountain Dog Training and there’s a reason why we keep going back. Derrick and Bee are the best of the best. Their methods are humane and use positive reinforcement. I’ve met other trainers who believe in harsh punishments and almost train like they saw a couple of YouTube videos a week before opening business. This is not the case with Canis Mountain Dog Training. Both Derrick and Bee are licensed and accredited. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I’ve never had an easier and more enjoyable experience training a dog. Our 8 month old Boxer/ Pitt Louie LOVES training with them and has come such a long way. They give you the tools and skills to work at home and practice so that you’re ready for the next class. Through repetition, positive reinforcement and gentle correction, their training methods are second to none. We started at 9 weeks at puppy day care and Louie became very socialized there. It was with Canis Mountain Dog Training at puppy daycare that Louie learned crate training, house training, social cues from other pups, etc. I recommend Canis Mountain Dog Training to all my friends and family. I refuse to train with anyone else. Derrick and Bee are incredible!

What a wonderful place to bring your puppy. I was a bit nervous about training our puppy (first time puppy mom), and after our puppy classes, not only Theo has made great progress but I feel confident in continuing to practice with him. I heard of Canis Mountain Dog Training from a client of theirs while shopping for my pup. The client raved about them and said they were worth every penny. I wanted to give my pup the best chance at being the best dog he could be and trusted Bee and Derrick to assist me with just that. My puppy Blu has had a private training session, attends puppy daycare (and LOVES it) and will soon be starting Puppy School I. I trust CMDT with my pups life. They are clean, knowledgeable, certified, kind and most of all they love what they do. They will be my first choice every time and they should be yours! And thank you to the lady who suggested it after bringing her 3 dogs there, I agree… They are worth every penny!

I can’t recommend Canis Mountain Dog Training enough! My dog Fern attended their puppy daycare and I just can’t say enough good things about Bee and Derrick. They are incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and kind. It is so evident that they truly care about your dog, and all dogs under their care, and it shows in all aspects of their business. They were always willing to answer any questions I had, often going above and beyond to explain things in a way that was super easy for me to understand. Their facility is spotless (which is impressive for any dog training facility, let alone one with puppies running around all day 🤣), safe, and their level of professionalism is admirable. I believe that the time Fern spent in their program was integral to her becoming a well-behaved, well-socialized, and just overall wonderful dog. She had so much fun playing with all her puppy friends, and I felt great sending her there because I knew she was getting proper socialization in a safe environment that’s run by certified, professional dog trainers. I especially loved all the images I received of Fern playing with her pup friends!! We even got to participate in a couple extra training classes that were included with our membership, and Fern earned her Novice & Intermediate Trick Dog titles thanks to Bee and Derrick! Just overall an amazing facility and group of people- definitely something I’m highly recommending to all my friends/family who bring home a puppy!
