My minipoodle and I have worked with Carl on numerous occasions and I can say that Carl is great dog trainer. He clearly loves dogs of all kinds and sizes and quickly develops a good connection and working relationship with a dog. Carl is educated and practices the modern, effective, positive reinforcement dog training methods. If you have a dog that has unwanted behavioral issues or you want to teach your already well-behaved dog some new tricks, I recommend working with Carl.

I have a two year old Coton de Tulear. She was a Covid puppy and came to live with us at 10 weeks old. We had not had a dog for a very long time and so raising a puppy seemed brand new. We met Carl when Sophie was about 6 or 7 months old and he has been a constant in our lives ever since. He was essential in getting her house trained. We were having trouble with house training and and hired Carl to crate train her while we were away on a trip. He successfully and seemingly effortlessly trained her to wait until going outside before relieving herself. This had been a big problem for us because we live on the 3rd floor of a condo building. Since that training she has had no problems. He has assisted us with numerous other issues by training us how to train her. He is known by all the dog parents as the dog whisperer and he truly is. All of the dogs absolutely love him! I cannot recommend him strongly enough as a dog trainer and dog sitter. Carl truly does care!

Best dog-sitter and dog trainer in San Jose! My two dogs stay with Carl once a week when I have to be in the office. They also stay with him overnight when my wife and I are out of town. And they absolutely adore him! At drop-off time they run to him, tails wagging. We’ve tried pet hotels (Wags, PetSmart) and other dog-sitters. But they’ve never been happier than with Carl. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
