Carlisle K9 Dog Training

Visited Carlisle K9 last week and had a great experience. We’re picking up our Belgian Malinois puppy next Thursday and couldn’t be more excited. Brad was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and straightforward about the breed, training expectations, and what it takes to properly raise and work a Malinois. What really stood out was that the focus here is clearly on quality training and building well-rounded dogs, not just selling puppies. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs and about helping owners succeed long term. The facility was clean, organized, and all the dogs looked healthy, confident, and well cared for. They took the time to answer all of our questions and made us feel much more prepared going into this. Highly recommend Carlisle K9 to anyone looking for serious training or guidance with working breeds.

We were interested in getting a puppy, but we had never owned a Belgian Malinois before. We did a lot of research beforehand and talked to several experienced Malinois owners, so we knew they were a high-drive and demanding breed. Even with all the preparation, though, we quickly realized nothing truly prepares you for owning a Malinois until you actually bring one home. After visiting Brad and Helen’s facility, we immediately felt confident moving forward with them. Their setup was extremely clean, organized, and professional, which stood out to us right away. More importantly, they took the time to thoroughly explain their program, training process, expectations, and what it would realistically take to raise and handle this breed successfully. Honestly, I barely survived the puppy stage on my own. But after picking our puppy up from training, I saw a completely different dog. He came home well-behaved, obedient, more focused, and much easier for us to communicate with and handle. The transformation was honestly incredible. What I appreciate most is that their support did not stop after the program ended. Anytime I had concerns or questions, Brad and Hellen were always there to guide me and help me better understand how to properly handle him, keep him accountable, and continue building on his training at home. The weekly handling sessions and consistent check-ins have been invaluable and really show how much they care about both the dogs and the owners succeeding long term. Owning a Malinois is not easy, but having the right trainers and support system makes all the difference. I am forever grateful for everything they have done for us and our dog, and I am so glad we chose to work with them. I truly cannot recommend them enough.
