At the recommendation of a friend, I sent my headstrong puppy to Mari’s for a board and train session. I was a bit apprehensive having never boarded a dog before, and I was skeptical when I saw the facility, but Mari kept in touch with me throughout the whole experience, sending me videos of my dog learning and improving throughout his stay. It was clear Leo was loved and cared for throughout his stay, and he came home significantly improved - he no longer pulls at his leash and is responsive and obedient at the dog park. I take my dog to the office and coworkers are always impressed by how quiet and well-behaved he is - it’s a far cry from the dog he was before staying with Mari. I highly recommend sending your dog to Cascadia K9 for training.

I was going to leave this review alone, however, I am still pretty disgusted with what I saw today. The short - this place is littered with poop, EVERYWHERE. It's not clean, it's not being maintained. It's disgusting. The long:- First thing; the pics aren't accurate of the facility. There's no picture of the facility. This is someone's house posing as a boarding facility. There's somewhat of a small fenced in front yard and very little of a gravel back yard. The facility is great for boarding small dogs up to 20lbs . There was mention of a bigger back yard behind the garage/shed , however , we didn’t get far into viewing the facility as it was quite impossible viewing the grounds with the amount of dog feces littered across the property. It smells . It smells when you enter it smells when you leave . The property shows clear signs that it isn't cleaned daily or at all and by my estimate with the amount of fecal matter scattered across the property , over month or two of dog feces from multiple dogs. There's dog feces EVERYWHERE from the moment you walk in . There's dog feces in the outdoor crates. I am no expert , but there's seriously some health violations here that need to be looked into.

My husband and I adopted a rescue pup (Millie) while we were spending some time in Seattle and we quickly learned Millie was super reactive/did not walk well on a leash. We started working with Mari and to say she changed our life would be putting it lightly. We were so overwhelmed and Mari reassured us that our pup was a good dog, she just needed consistent training. She gave us so much insight into Millie's behavior and was always adaptable if something wasn't working in our training sessions. Mari trained US on dog training. We wouldn't have the dog that we have today if it wasn't for the knowledge Mari shared and taught us. We worked with Mari over a year ago, and since leaving Seattle we have worked with a few other dog trainers. Mari has still been our absolute favorite. Mari is the perfect mix of compassionate and loving but firm. She’s still a valuable resource to us and we ask her questions to this day. We are jealous of all of her clients that get the opportunity to work with her and wish her nothing but good things in her career. Thank you for everything Mari! We miss you!

Mari has been an absolute blessing to have in our lives and such a reliable support resource for our sweet German Shepherd Winston. She was an invaluable part of his professional training and the results of her influence keep paying off in spades long after he graduated. We still have an ongoing partnership with Mari as she boards our pup every time we go on vacation and Winston just adores her. His excitement is instant when he sees her come over to retrieve him. He definitely knows he’s going to have a lot of fun. It gives us so much piece of mind knowing that he’s getting the best care and attention while we are away and we always receive an extremely happy and satisfied puppy when he is returned to us from her care. I highly recommend booking your next training session or boarding with Mari.
