Cave Creek K9 Training

Cave Creek K9 training was beyond fantastic! Rodd, the owner, immediately made me feel at ease about his training approach, knowledge, and professionalism. I decided to work remotely from Arizona and was in need of finding a place for my 10 month old English Chocolate Labrador. Rodd, not only trained Harry to listen, follow commands, and be obedient, but moreover he treated him like a part of his family, taking him to dinner and strolls around the neighborhood and shopping malls. We asked Rodd to help with our dog, a 10-month Bernadoodle after completing an 8-week group classes at another dog school and not making much progress with Teddy. Rodd has a unique talent communicating to the dog and getting the dog to do what he needs him to do. Within a minute of meeting Rodd, our goofy doodle looked like he was taking his final exam in algebra, all attention, and eyes on Rodd. We haven’t seen anything like it. The dog was jumping out of his skin, trying to be on his best behavior. Rodd really speaks the language that dog listens to. In five lessons we took, Teddy will not only seat when we tell him, but will stay there until we “free” him. Would stay on a mat “place” until we “free” him. He finally walks and “heels” without jumping and barking at other dogs, neighbors or cars. We had the car problem since he was 4 months old. Rodd got him over his “bark and lounge” at the cars in essentially one lesson. He also comes back to us when recalled and we’re able to walk with him at an outdoor mall (e.g., Desert Ridge) while his eyes are on us. We would recommend Rodd without any hesitation to anyone who is having any difficulties getting a dog to do what you need him/her to do. We’re also planning to take more private classes after we practice with Teddy what he has learned and identifying additional skills that we want him to tackle next.
