I would leave 0 stars if possible. Called and left voicemail letting them know I was interested in setting up training. Got to return phone call, called again to talk to a lady that said I would recieve a phone call back by the following day. Which didn't happen neither. So I had sent a email and finally received a response from them, apologizing for the miscomunication and we discussed the training I was exactly looking for and set up a training session. He was aware that I was not from the area and was driving 1 hour each way. I get there and no one answers phones, doors locked, set email waited for 30 minutes and nothing so turned around and drove back home! AND already left a review and it has been deleted!! All I can say is wow! Terrible, untrustworthy business practices!

Update: I was recently made aware that although Sean said no one would work with Mickey unless they were using a wheelchair that there were in fact times that the wheelchair was not used in the training. We hired Central Wisconsin K9 to train a seizure alert and service dog for our teen son who is in a wheelchair. It did not go well at all. From day one we were concerned about the dog’s lack of listening to basic obedience commands. We contacted Sean and were told to give the dog time to adjust. After several weeks the behavior deteriorated more and more. Sean made many promises of what he would do to help, and broke pretty much all of them. One night the dog ran after a squirrel and never came back. He was found nearly two miles away the next morning, and that was our final straw. After repeated attempts for over 9 months to get Sean to help us and coming to the realization that he was not going to, we ended up rehoming the dog. We were expecting and needed a service animal, not a pet that added more work and stress to our lives. Here are some examples of the behavior issues: • Does not stay in command until new command given, or “free” command given • Does not obey “down” command at all • Has several accidents in the house every week despite being let out and going potty every two to three hours per day • Ignores all commands and correction when people come into the house • Barks frequently o Barks at noise or movement outside when he is inside o Barks at and chases after other dogs • Charges through doorways, knocking people aside, or jumps over the wheelchair, to get through the door first • If someone is on the furniture, he does not avoid them, he jumps and lands on them as if they were part of the furniture o Our youngest is scared of him due to this • Has no awareness of spaces around him – he is constantly crashing into furniture, people, plants, or anything else in the area he is moving through • Chases after squirrels, rabbits, deer, turkeys, and other dogs o He does this even when on a leash while on a walk – our son whom you were training the dog for is afraid to take him on walks now because the dog chased after another dog and nearly tipped his wheelchair over o While I understand that dogs tend to chase after other animals, this doesn’t seem like a behavior a service dog should be engaging in In the beginning Sean said all the right things and seemed to genuinely care about helping our son gain some independence, but it all turned out to basically be a sales persona. After pushing him repeatedly for help he became belligerent and tried to make it seem like he was the victim and we were being unreasonable. Overall I would say stay away from Central Wisconsin K9 if you are looking to have a service dog of any kind trained. We talked to a couple of retired trainers as well as the dog's breeder, and all of them shared the opinion that our dog was very poorly trained.

We hired Sean to train a service dog for our daughter who has Autism. Sean had our dog for nine months with very limited communication or updates. We were very disappointed with results of his training as he did not understand the basic commands they said he was taught. They had not addressed the specific issues we requested. They promised follow up interactive training and have been unresponsive to messages. We feel our money was wasted and we now are in search of another trainer to help.
