Certified Canine Services has worked their magic once again. Two years ago they helped us with our dog Frankie, a husky catahoula mix. He was stubborn, headstrong and always getting into trouble. His high energy and superior intelligence hindered us in training him. Frankie attended the 3 week program and is an amazing dog. He listens and is controllable on and off leash. This allows us to let this energetic dog play, hike, run and swim without the worry of getting him to come back. He responds to our commands and no longer gets into so much trouble. Fast forward two years and we welcomed Zari into our family. Zari is a rescue dog from Afghanistan. We picked her up from the Boston airport in September after a 21 hour journey. Unaware of her past, her temperament and personality we committed to giving her a forever home. When we first met her at the airport she was sweet, exhausted and scared. She bonded with me quickly on our 6 hour car ride home. Introducing her to the rest of the family went well. She loved the kids and was great with them. However introducing her to Frankie and Ellie ( our 4 year old golden doodle ) did not go as well. She was so scared and aggressive towards them. We tried so hard to make her feel safe and secure enough to learn her place in the pack. Our efforts were no help in controlling her aggressive nature towards our other two dogs. It was stressful, chaotic and absolutely terrifying. We turned to certified canine once again. I was honestly hopeless until we made the phone call. Rachel spent over a half hour on the phone with us. She eased my mind and gave me a glimmer of hope that Zari could potentially find her place in our family. We enrolled Zari in the 4 week program and prayed that it would help. On the day we were able to pick her up, Certified canine allowed us to bring Frankie and Ellie to their facility so they could witness and aid in the reunion. I was amazed and astonished at how well it went. With Frankie and Zari both having the same training and commands it was so easy to tell them what we needed and expected from them. We now have a house full of three happy, healthy and loving dogs. They all get along great and we are in control of our pack. I can’t express how thankful, relieved and happy I am.
