Cervantes Dog Training & Rehabilitation

I brought my dear canine friend home from a rough situation at six months of age. She had some fearful behaviors and I soon learned that her first experience with humans had made her anxious and reactive. Her brain had gotten used to being on high alert 24/7. She simply didn’t know how to be calm or how to fully trust. I tried a local trainer for their 4 week program. It was a failed effort. I could see so much potential in this dog but didn’t know how to get through to her. Cervantes DID know how! Francisco and Amia invested countless hours of training, patience, empathy, compassion, awareness, and discipline into my dog day after day, consistently showing her there WAS a better way to be. Cervantes Dog Training and Rehabilitation made it possible for my dog to self regulate AND for me to be a more aware human. I went into this rehabilitation training process focused on my dog’s behaviors. What I gained is a deeper understanding of the relationship between humans and dogs and how to better communicate with her. I cannot thank you enough, Team Cervantes. You’ve changed our lives for the better, in a big way.

My husband and I got a 2 month old English Lab puppy and to say we were lost in terms of training her is an understatement. The first day we took Bella for evaluation with Fransisco seemed like the first day of a happy life with Bella. Fransisco, Ami, their children and everyone who works at Cervantes are amazing. Fransisco is a true dog whisperer. He understands dog behaviors, anticipates those behaviors and has an approach to behavioral training with knowledge and love. Our Bella is growing and thriving with Fransisco and Ami’s help. Bella looks forward to seeing her friends at daycare twice a week. She loves seeing and playing with her buddies, unaware that every day she is learning to read cues and how to behave in a pack. We cannot say enough good things about all Fransisco and Ami have done for our family. Engaging Fransisco for training us and Bella, has been one of the best decisions. Thank you does not seem enough, but thank you for all you have done and continue to do to ensure we have the tools and training so Bella is able to grow into a well adjusted, happy pup.
