Cherry Hoggs

The Cherry Hoggs team is the best! They are passionate about educating and training owners on dog psychology and dog fulfillment. They truly are experts and provide a unique experience with a pack environment as well as individualized training. Our dog originally came to Cherry Hoggs bootcamp due to impossible vet appointments and leash reactivity. Our dog is extremely aggressive at the vet and at home grooming like haircuts and ear drops. After two weeks at bootcamp we have already seen a drastic diffence in our dogs behavior and enjoyment! We are excited to keep doing our homework and have Flynn back to Cherry Hoggs for a redemption tour.

I came across Cherry Hoggs's videos and decided to inquire about their boot camp. Charlie and Frankie (owners, trainers) are like a breath of fresh air. They are personable, compationate, knowledgeable, down-to-earth, strait talkers who want to pass on the knowledge of dog psychology to improve the life of the dog and put you in the know. My pitty mix has come a long way since being in the program for 4 weeks. I can finally take him on loose leash walks (after 2 weeks), his confidence is growing and I am learning how to be an appropriate pack leader. The lessons he is learning from being in a pack environment are irreplaceable. After two previous trainers, very slow progress, and being told my very social puppy should not be allowed in a class with others dogs lead me look for alternatives to treat based training. I really felt that both good and bad behaviors were being reinforced by the positive training methods. My dog is leash reactive (overly excited) with dogs and since entering adolescents had become more anxious and fearful in certain situations. Behaviors that treats alone could not fix and no where in the previous training programs was I directed on how to be the pack leader or give corrections. We are a work in progress. My feelings of being trapped by my dogs actions and not in control have subsided with the support I have received from Cherry Hoggs. They really do feel like family.
