Don’t train with Prentice Kidd unless you want a submissive soulless dog. All dogs I seen him working with lacked their likeness (personality, dominance, maturity level, drive, trust, confidence, and *probably* temperament) and we’re frustrated because they were hungry as he withholds their resources (food and water) and leaves them in a kennel for the rest of the day if they’re not being cooperative (thus making them submissive) ask him if he incorporates a dogs resources in his training (food water shelter) and stay during the training to see if he does or recommends to. Don’t take my word take his. There’s another Schutzhund trainer in the Yorkville area that I’d highly recommend especially over Prentice at “Chicago *Canine Company*” connotations on the “canine company” as he does prioritize the mighty dollar over the dogs best interests which is proven in the dogs he’s worked with’s personality/likeness or lack there of. The trainer in Yorkville doesn’t advertise or describe his Schutzhund certification on his website because he doesn’t offer it to the public but he works with the Schutzhund club. Any trainer you’re looking to work with ask to meet the dogs they’ve worked with and especially dogs similar in temperament and similar of a case as yours, look for their likeness and see if you’d like your dog to have the same demeanor, ask what methods and fundamentals of training they use in general and for specific areas of training. Also he asked me when I met him to keep my dog in his Mastiff size carrier crate which was puddled with water or probably cleaning solution to clean the inside of it; that I know my dog and I’m sure any other dog would lick up and drink or at the very least just get all over him and irritate his skin. After noticing it I asked if there was another kennel we could leave my dog in and unimusingly he took me to the back room with his other kennels which goes to show his lack of priority and lack of general respect for a dog. Also believe the other reviews even if he denies it and continue to ask questions and you’ll see for yourself what he says doesn’t add up. God bless.
