Chill Out Dog Training

I could not recommend Chill Out Dog Training enough! Scott has been absolutely amazing to work with. I did the package with three 1.5-hour sessions using the stim collar, and the difference it has made has been incredible. My dog already had a really great training foundation, but Scott helped us take it to an entirely different level. I’m now able to have him off leash on trails with so much more confidence and control, which was one of my biggest goals. What I really appreciated was that Scott didn’t just focus on training my dog, he started by training me. He even had me feel the collar on myself so I could understand exactly how it worked and become comfortable using it before ever using it with my dog. I loved that approach because it made me feel much more confident and responsible with the tool. They also went above and beyond by meeting me at Skiptown to work on socialization and play behavior. Scott gave me a behavior guide and showed me what to look for so I can continue working with my dog on learning how to play appropriately with other dogs. You can tell they genuinely care about setting both the dog AND the owner up for long term success. I will most definitely be purchasing more sessions because I want to continue both his training and, honestly, my own training as an owner. Such a great experience from start to finish. Cameron was absolutely amazing! I’ll admit I was skeptical after the phone consultation when I was told I would notice a difference in Fuller after just one session, but this was one of those times I was genuinely thrilled to be proven wrong. After Fuller and I were attacked by another dog, he became extremely reactive, and our walks left both of us constantly on high alert. I was at my wits’ end and didn’t know how to help my boy feel safe or confident again. Cameron arrived right on time and was incredibly professional throughout the entire session. While we were discussing the training tools in my lobby, a few dogs walked by and Fuller immediately began barking and growling. Cameron stepped in and showed me how quickly Fuller’s behavior could change by redirecting his focus and reassuring him that he was safe. We then spent the next 90 minutes walking through my neighborhood and practicing techniques in real-life situations. Cameron didn’t simply take over or train Fuller for me. He let me learn by doing, coached me through each situation, and showed me how to use the tools confidently on my own. He didn’t just rebuild Fuller’s confidence; he rebuilt mine, too. It has now been a few days and several walks since our session, and Fuller already feels like a completely different dog. We can finally focus and enjoy our walks instead of constantly being on guard. This experience was worth every cent for the peace of mind it gave me and the sense of security it helped Fuller regain. I finally feel like I’m getting my happy boy back, and I cannot recommend Cameron enough!

If you have a leash reactive dog, walk at odd hours of the day, constantly have your head on a swivel (if you know, you know), look no further, help is here. See the before video. My dog Tilly was very leash reactive when I first adopted her. She would get really excited and start lunging and whining when she saw another dog and also bikers, bunnies, and babies. I couldn’t control her and she would sometimes displace her excitement onto me - which was scary. I was really at the end of my rope when I started researching board and trains and felt demoralized and hopeless. I worked with Abbi and the results are night and day. I can now walk Tilly at any time of the day, in crowded settings (we even sat in a busy brunch patio in Granby and saw several other close proximity dogs), do close passes with other dogs, go on hikes, you name it. Abbi is so knowledgeable, patient, kind, and helpful. Tilly at first had a negative reaction to the ecollar and Abbi was very responsive via text / got on the phone with me very quickly to help course correct before our next session. I booked 6 sessions just in case but only needed 4. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Working with Abbi from Chill Out Dog Training was absolutely transformational for our dog!! Over the course of three 1:1 training sessions, Abbi worked with us to find tools and training strategies that were tailored to our dog's unique needs, and she equipped us with a plan to continue making progress with our dog long after our final training. Prior to working with Chill Out Dog Training, our dog lunged at guests who entered our home, barked non-stop at passersby, and would unpredictably snap at strangers. By the end of our final session with Abbi, our dog had made life-changing progress on problem behaviors we had struggled to address for years. We are now able to have guests over, our dog no longer barks at people outside (even the mailman), and we are far less worried she is a bite-risk. Investing in individualized training with a company that specializes in working with reactive and anxious dogs was the single best return on investment we have ever made. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

We’ve had great experiences with Chill Out Dog Training over several training sessions. We worked with Cameron 1.5 years ago with our first and are currently working with Abbi since we have a new dog. Both trainers have been extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We saw results after one training sessions for both trainers. Not only are our dogs less reactive, we also feel more confident in taking our dogs out.
