Citizen K9 Dog Training And Agility

I think the trainer is well qualified for large and/or aggressive dogs. Many dogs in group classes are reactive and there are some aversive methods used. It wasn't a good fit for me and my dog as he shutdown during training. But I can see where the methods may be a good fit for some. I attended 5 out of my 8 classes that we paid for, and opted to let the remainder go as I felt it was more detrimental to my relationship with my dog to force his continuation. I would suggest observing a class without your dog before shelling out the cash for a package. Not all training is a good fit for every dog and partner. A lesson I learned from this experience when I seek another trainer.

We brought our dog-aggressive German Shepherd rescue to Brandy last year. Our dog, Denali, immediately responded to Brandy. Over the last year we have done obedience classes, agility classes, inboard training, and general boarding with Citizen K9. Brandy not only works with our dog but has taught us how to work with her at home. Denali loves this place and these trainers! When we go out of town, I know that she is being well cared-for by people who understand how to help her succeed. She always leaves the boarding facility happy and healthy. We love Citizen K9 and plan to keep using them for anything Denali needs.

Brandy is a fantastic trainer. She uses positive reinforcement. She is patient, supportive, and professional. She offers personalized attention during her classes and makes everyone feel at ease. I only trust Brandy and her staff when boarding my two German Shepherds. She’s very familiar with their personalities, and makes them feel at home tending to all their needs. I highly recommend Brandy! She is an expert and truly loves what she does each and every day with every animal she works with.
