Clear Mind Canine

There aren't enough words to describe how awesome Heather is! I started taking my dog-reactive corgi to her Feisty Fido class a couple months ago and it's been great. You start with an intro session in Felton where you cover your goals and she can evaluate your dog. She recommended we start with the advanced class and we're now halfway through our second 6-week session! My dog can now handle passing dogs within 6-8 ft without having a meltdown and I'm more aware of her excitement levels so I can maneuver us out of challenging situations before it turns into a full blown reaction (with barking, lunging, growling, etc.). She gives you different "real-world" scenarios to practice in class and sends you home with things to work on for the week. It helps build not just your dog's confidence, but your own since you have the tools necessary to properly handle your dog in difficult situations. Depending on your goals and your dog, be prepared for an immense amount of work on your part. If you're looking for an "easy-fix," I don't think you'll find that with any trainer. But, Heather's patient attitude and teaching method will be life-changing so long as you're willing to put in the work.

Heather Ross is a wonderful trainer! She's so knowledgeable in dealing with all kinds of different dog behaviors in order for each dog to succeed in her classes. I take my dog here for nose work and he is learning so fast and has so much fun doing it. Her dogs are unbelievably well trained which speaks volumes, and her training area is beautiful and easy to find. I'm so glad I started taking my dog here!
