Clickstart Dog Training Academy

I have now completed 2 classes with Clickstart. I had heard about them through the grapevine but I finally decided to participate in the Canine Communication and Advanced Classes. Cassie and Liv are amazing! My dog Misty loved all the staff (especially Michael an his treats). They broke down the curriculum into understandable sections and even tailored their classes to each dog owner's goals. One of my set of classes was a group of around 8 or 9 dogs. The other set of classes was just Misty and one other dog. During both of these classes there were barriers between the dogs to block out distractions and ensure they got the most learning done in class. The classes also allowed for plenty of breaks to make sure the dogs were not overwhelmed or tired. On the last day, Cassie was even generous enough to host an unplanned private to target Misty's super high separation anxiety with her brother. I wish I was able to take Misty to the classes sooner. I have recommended them to multiple dog friends and will continue to do so. I am super excited for their new campus and the potential for new offerings! If you are considering what trainers to pick, pick Clickstart!!!

We cannot say enough good things about Clickstart Dog Training Academy. Ruger is our third cattle dog/cattle dog mix and is reactive and fearful despite early socialization, enrichment, and attempts at group training. We were feeling discouraged with the challenges of a reactive and fearful puppy and we reached out to Clickstart for help. The website has so many valuable resources including the Muzzle Magic course and many other training resources, including virtual classes. The minute we met Liv, we knew we were in good hands. They performed a very thorough assessment via Zoom and sent a follow up e-mail outlining a plan for Ruger’s specific needs, including detailed instructions for training activities. We have met with Liv for several sessions and are blown away by their professionalism, knowledge, and advocacy for animals. Liv is very tuned in to Ruger’s body language and cues during our sessions and does an amazing job at teaching us what to look for when interpreting what he needs. Ruger gets appropriate rest breaks for sniffing during counterconditioning sessions which is critical with our boy so he can stay focused while training without getting overwhelmed. We trust them immensely and Ruger loves them!! We feel that we truly have a partner in guiding our Ruger and feel empowered to help him be the best boy he can be. We appreciate everyone at Clickstart especially Liv, Amanda, and Maya 😊. We look forward to continuing sessions with Clickstart and can’t wait until the new facility opens. Thank you so, so much!!

We have use Clickstart for 2 of our dogs: a 2 year old with some behavior problems and now for our new puppy Snacks! Cassie and the rest of the team have been excellent. We have done private training as well as homework sessions and are always given email instructions after the sessions to continue training on our own. We love the positive training approach and highly recommend Clickstart for any dog training needs!

There are no words to explain how tremendous and wonderful it was to have Liv in our corner as we navigated the beginning of puppyhood with a three-year-old toddler in the house. We were immediately put at ease because of Liv's vast knowledge about animal behavior, patience with our inexperience, topped off with a great sense of humor. During our training sessions we opted for the at home private lessons due to our dog, Roscoe's young age, and also so we could get pointers on the best way to manage our space. The follow-up emails and handouts are all meticulously prepared so I didn't have to try to remember everything. All this to say you are making the best choice out there if you decide to work with Liv and Clickstart. I'd give them 10 stars if it was an option.
