Unfortunately, Cloud Nine Dog Training was not the right fit for me or my dog\. There were quite a few dogs in our class, and with the amount of barking—particularly from two highly reactive dogs, one of them being mine—it was often impossible to hear the trainer’s instructions\. I feel that using a microphone would make a significant difference, because it’s difficult to benefit from a training class when you cannot hear what the trainer is saying\. I take responsibility for choosing not to finish the course, but the environment was causing my dog more distress than the training was providing I also found the trainer’s communication style to be rather gruff and sometimes felt dismissed\. It may simply have been a personality mismatch\. I’m not saying the trainer isn’t knowledgeable or good at what she does, and this program may be a wonderful fit for other dogs and their owners\. It just wasn’t the right learning environment or fit for us\.
