Coaching 4 paws

Coaching 4 Paws (and Faith, in particular) has been an absolute godsend. My husband and I rescued our dog, Kona, from a rescue organization out of Texas. When Kona arrived from his two-day journey, we fell in love but, admittedly, realized we were in over our heads. While my husband and I grew up with dogs, we had never rescued and, in all honestly, did not fully appreciate the time, effort, and understanding that went into rescuing a dog -- a dog whose previous life and traumas we knew very little about. Kona was reactive towards other dogs. He was never taught to walk on a leash, so he constantly pulled. He did not know basic commands. He was hyper and, sometimes, uncontrollable. We knew we needed help. A friend recommended Coaching 4 Paws and, to be honest, I was initially hesitant -- the thought of sending our rescue into yet another unknown setting was extremely difficult. But, through many phone sessions with the incredibly patient Caroline, we were convinced that this would be the best thing for Kona, long term. And we (well, Coaching 4 Paws, really) were right. It sounds like a cliche but, truly, Kona is a different dog. I cannot thank Faith enough for the time, love, and attention she put into Kona and giving him (and us) the tools we needed to succeed. Kona has transformed. He walks perfectly on a leash. He doesn't react to other dogs and has successfully met and interacted with other dogs (mind you, prior to his training, Kona nearly attacked another dog at the vet's office). He knows all of his commands. He is calm. And, most importantly, he is confident. He is comfortable and secure. And we could not be more grateful. We continue to take Kona to Masters Class every week to strengthen his skills and keep up his training. Of course, we recognize that we, now, are responsible to keep Kona on track. But Coaching 4 Paws gave us the necessary foundation for Kona to reach his full potential. And this foundation -- Faith's guidance -- has extended beyond the confines of the program. We have texted Faith when issues arise. Most recently, Kona has had difficulty when strangers come into our home. Faith helped guide us through the process of introducing new people. We truly cannot say enough. We would highly recommend Coaching 4 Paws. The entire staff cares deeply about the dogs they train and work with. Kona is incredibly grateful for his two favorite Coaching 4 Paws humans -- Faith and Emily. And my husband and I are, too.

My boyfriend and I brought our American Akita Louie to Coaching 4 Paws for training after being recommended by some friends and it was such a great experience! Everyone there was super friendly and helpful from the start. we loved working with Faith (one of the trainers) she was amazing with our dog and really took the time to guide us through everything. You can tell they truly care about the dogs and their progress and make recommendations for after training too! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great training team!

Our reactive dog just recently finished the 3-week boarded program with Coaching4Paws. We are so impressed with their professionalism, attention, and compassion throughout the entire process. In addition, our pup came home with all the skills she needs to manage her reactivity all with our guidance. Our trainer, Faith was incredibly thorough when providing us with the training during both our mid-program visit and our send-home appointment. We can’t recommend her more highly!
