Originally from the UK, I now reside in Sarasota, Florida. I have gained extensive experience working with dogs since 1997 and have been professionally training since 2007, teaching group and private lessons. I have experience working with behavioral issues such as reactivity; and teaching dogs and puppies life skills, manners and obedience. My training approach is "least intrusive, minimally aversive" (LIMA), the aim of which is to train your dog with minimal adverse side effects. My training plan is adjusted for each and every dog.

Dawn, what are your charges for one-on-one training with older dogs?
Hi Peg. If I come to your home it is $75 an hour. If you come to my home $60 an hour. That includes, handouts and follow up questions that pertain to that lesson. 6 lesson package and 4 lesson package has a discounts. All prices are on my website. I would absolutely recommend Dawn to anyone needing a trainer, especially for those with shy dogs. Dawn was wonderful with my shy adopted pup-- she brought a very calm and welcoming demeanor and helped put my dog at ease for our sessions. I also felt grateful for Dawn's calm response to the behavioral issues I brought up-- it was very relieving to have help from someone with experience with shy dogs. Dawn went above and beyond to send me lots of resources and information following each of our sessions and made herself available to respond to issues I was facing. She was also reliable and flexible to find ways to meet safely outdoors in the Covid-era. Overall, I feel much less intimidated to train my sweet dog. I am enjoying our time together so much more now. She has come such a long way already and Dawn has helped me understand her behavior and how to help her! I feel much more set up for success and patient with the process ahead. Thank you for your help, Dawn!!
Dawn is a master of her craft! She effortlessly worked with our puppy and did a great job incorporating our small children into training our dog. I highly recommend using her!

I would highly recommend Dawn she is an amazing dog trainer who I met many years ago when I had a leash reactive dog named Holly who she helped overcome this with positive reinforcement, high value treats & hard work. Currently Dawn has been working with Ellie who is a fearful dog that I am fostering she has given us lots of tools to work with to increase her confidence and since working with Dawn, Ellie has made huge strides.
