FirstBarkDawn is wonderful to work with. Two years ago I called her to help with our puppy’s housebreaking difficulties. She helped with that and much more. When we adopted another dog recently I didn’t hesitate to call her again for his separation anxiety. She comes very prepared and sends comprehensive summary emails with pertinent materials. Highly recommend!

Originally from the UK, I now reside in Sarasota, Florida. I have gained extensive experience working with dogs since 1997 and have been professionally training since 2007, teaching group and private lessons. I have experience working with behavioral issues such as reactivity; and teaching dogs and puppies life skills, manners and obedience. My training approach is "least intrusive, minimally aversive" (LIMA), the aim of which is to train your dog with minimal adverse side effects. My training plan is adjusted for each and every dog.

Dawn, what are your charges for one-on-one training with older dogs?
Hi Peg. If I come to your home it is $75 an hour. If you come to my home $60 an hour. That includes, handouts and follow up questions that pertain to that lesson. 6 lesson package and 4 lesson package has a discounts. All prices are on my website. Our dog Nova took to Dawn from day one and became a passionate and attentive learner. It was an exciting little journey that gave us a great foundation for more training, learning and fun!
My husband and I found Dawn to be extremely helpful. We appreciated her Direct clear assessment and directions with our challenged rescued dog.... Building on patience and trust. Dawn is also very good with humans.
