Golden Years Matter | Senior Social TimeProgram details
Senior dogs deserve connection, movement, and enrichment too. Golden Years Matter is a calm, low-pressure social hour designed specifically for older dogs. In a relaxed environment, dogs can gently move, explore, and quietly socialize while maintaining confidence, mobility, and mental stimulation.
Activities may include light enrichment, calm coexistence with other dogs, gentle movement exercises, and optional low-impact swim time for dogs who enjoy the water. Swimming provides excellent joint support and can help maintain mobility in aging dogs.
At this time, there is an opportunity for four senior dogs to enroll while space is available. This will be a recurring weekly activity designed to give senior dogs a consistent outlet for gentle exercise, social interaction, and continued engagement as they age.
Training and enrichment should support dogs throughout their entire lives. Just as early training builds a strong foundation for puppies, senior dogs benefit from continued movement, mental engagement, and calm social experiences that help maintain confidence and quality of life as they age.

Tracy with Coastal Canine Coaching, has been a godsend for animals at the Glynn County Animal Services. She is so professional and patient with every dog she comes into contact with. She volunteers a lot of her time to help struggling dogs due to kennel stress and other behavior issues. She utilizes her own personal dog for friendly testing for us also. She has truly changed the lives of so many dogs. I have witnessed the techniques she utilizes and the outcomes are truly amazing. She also creates videos to show the behavior during the training sessions, so the client as well as herself can go back and look at the dog to come up with a game plan. She has also helped animals outside of the shelter with individual training on specific needs. I highly recommend her if you have any kind of behavior problems with your dog. She truly has saved lives. Thank you for everything you do for the hairy children. Here are just a few of the dogs that benefitted from her training.

Tracy is amazing! I started fostering a dog that was in the shelter for over a year. His interaction with other dogs was perceived as violent at times. Tracy identified the issue and developed a specific plan for my dog and his needs. This led to a week by week progression that showed steady improvement to the point that he now has better interaction with new dogs and can be left alone with another family dog though out the day. Bottom line is now I have a plan for him to improve. It takes steady at home training and consistencies. Thank you Tracy for your hard work and for improving my no longer fostered but adopted dog’s life.
