First, we did honor and apply a 25% discount to your stay, which significantly reduced the total cost. This discount was agreed upon in advance and fully applied at the time of payment. Second, during the holiday season which is our busiest time of year, we turned other clients away specifically to ensure that Chloe had guaranteed space, consistent care, and continuity during her extended stay. Once those dates were reserved, staffing and accommodations were committed exclusively to her, which is why the stay was treated as a long-term reservation rather than day-by-day boarding. Regarding the adoption: we were happy to accommodate the meet-and-greet at our facility, manage communications, and ensure Chloe’s safety and smooth transition. While the rescue coordinated the adoption, our role was to facilitate access, supervise the interaction, and care for Chloe throughout the process. We did not ask for or accept any monetary value for our services during the meet and greet. Days from a reserved stay are not refundable, particularly when space has been held and other clients have been declined. This policy is applied consistently and is not a reflection of greed or lack of compassion. Finally, the statements about our facility layout are misleading. All dogs are housed in designated kennel areas designed for safety, cleanliness, and supervision. Temporary crate placement during cleaning or transitions does not reflect standard housing conditions, and we always encourage potential clients to tour our facility and ask questions directly. We truly cared for Chloe during her time with us and wish her nothing but happiness in her new home.
