Cochran K9 Training

I would give Matt, and Cochran K9 Training 100 stars if i could! We sent our Deaf Australian Shepherd, Blue, to stay with Matt for a Board and Train for 3 weeks. Not only did Matt take wonderful care of Blue; but he also sent us constant updates, daily insights that helped us further understand Blue and his personality, and set up multiple training sessions to end the Board and Train. We went home feeling confident and capable to continue his training at home, and could not be more thrilled with Matt and Cochran K9 training. Thank you so much for all the help!

I'd highly recommend Cochran K9 Training for anyone who is looking for dog training or boarding. Our Australian Shepherd, Teddy, was completely bonkers about chasing cars. She would bark and lunge at anything on wheels. Her episodes were impossible to control. It was very concerning and I feared for her safety. Finding Matt was a miracle for our family. I didn't want a trainer who was going to strong arm Teddy into behaving, I wanted someone who would be able to make a connection with Teddy and use that bond as a foundation for training. A big part of their training sessions was play and praise and I loved that Teddy was enjoying herself while she was learning. Matt listened to our concerns and really worked to address them. He spent a ton of time at the end of her training working with us and it's clear he truly cares about the dogs. It's so tough handing your dog over for training, but you can trust Matt. He's a great human being and you be disappointed.

When we dropped Bailey of at cochrank9training she was pulling on the leash, counter surfing, chewing on thing she shouldn’t. And not listening when called. After a three week training program and the amount of time and dedication that was put forth she has done and complete turnaround. We have been taking walks that are so enjoyable, enjoy our playtime. And she has a understanding of what we expect from her. We love Bailey but we love her even more now. Thanks, Matt

We can’t express enough how thankful we are for CochranK9. Our Australian Shepherd, Frankie, just came home after a 3 week board and train with Matt and we couldn’t be happier with his progress! Not only did Matt instill such a solid foundation in Frankie, he made sure we had all the tools to continue to work with him on our own. He helped us understand Frankie’s specific needs and feelings and the importance of our relationship with him. He was extremely thorough throughout our going home session and made sure we had a full understanding before heading home. 100% worth every penny.

A couple years ago, my dog got away from me while we were on a walk despite my attempts to call him back. I got him back, but it was enough of a wake up call that we didn’t have the right kind of relationship and I wanted to correct that. A friend that had already worked with Matt recommended him and, from the very beginning, I knew I made the right choice. Matt starts out by getting to know YOU and YOUR goals for working with him. He answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns in a timely manner. When it came time to drop my dog off, Matt was ready and waiting for us and checked in with me regularly during the two week stay. At the end of the program, Matt took all the time I needed to go over the behaviors I needed to reinforce at home as well as how to do so. He has even made himself available post-training for any questions I have. The trust between my dog and I has been completely repaired without negatively affecting his personality and that is all thanks to Cochran K9 Training. I would 10000% recommend Matt and his program to anyone looking for a dog trainer.
