Hands down, paws down, the best trainers in central Texas! Being a seasoned pet owner and professional dog groomer, I am very particular in my pet’s care. Orion is a very sensitive dog and when he came into our lives as a rescue, it was clear he was outside of my comfort zone of typical dog training. In addition, I was not familiar with working breeds or Aussies in general. In addition, Orion also had an issue that no homesteader wants around their livestock: a high prey drive. After our initial consult, Orion went to CoDa for a six week board and train program. Not only did they keep in touch throughout his stay, I also got to see his progress through video and photos! The private pet parent training sessions before Orion went home were extremely informative and helpful to understand the expectations Orion had from us, and the expectations we needed to set with Orion. While we all weren’t expecting a 100% rehab from Orion’s prey drive at the end of training, we have been pleasantly surprised to see he doesn’t reach threshold as quickly as he did before. It has been amazing to see Orion’s confidence grow, as well as understand what tools he needed to bloom into a balanced pup. I feel more empowered as a pet owner, and I know I have Brooke and Madison to rely on should something pop up in the future, or we want to expand his training into other areas and sports. I’m excited to say that not only did Brooke and Madison perform the exact services we needed, they went above and beyond helping us learn Orion on a deeper level. Since coming home, we have grown a stronger bond and trust between each other. Seriously, if you are considering dog training, CoDa is the way to go!
