Update: We now have two dogs (1 and 2.5 years) and we take both to Kerry's classes; we reaffirm everything we said below, and add that learning with Kerry has made our experience raising our newest puppy easier, and we continue to find that we and our dogs all benefit from the continued challenges. Kerry is very competent and wise, and her guidance and recommendations make such a difference for us - both inside and outside of class! She works well with different personalities in dogs and in their owners, and provides very helpful situation-responsive recommendations. Our dogs mind us to get praise, not just treats (which they don't routinely get except for coming in from the yard), and we feel like the bond we have is continuously strengthened and reinforced through our work with them, under Kerry's guidance. We've also boarded our dogs many times with Kerry at her Muskego facility, and she takes great care of them. We highly recommend Kerry and Colt's Canine Club!! Previous review: I've been taking my 1 year old husky-shepherd to Kerry's dog training classes in Madison for a couple sessions now (at the Duncan's Dog Daycare location). I love Kerry - her training works really well - my dog [generally!] listens well just for praise, with occasional treats when something is really hard. Her classes are much more interesting than other classes we've taken, too - in our first class my puppy was walking over a ramp, jumping small hurdles and through a hoop, and she quickly learned to walk without pulling. Kerry occasionally does outside classes in which various level dogs mix together and face more difficult challenges, and it's inspiring to attend those. Kerry is great at teaching owners how to introduce and practice commands, and she's provided a ton of practical and constructive guidance regarding various other challenges we were facing with our dogs. We continue to see lots of progress with our dog, and that continues to improve the quality of our time together. We highly recommend Kerry!
