Working with Robert has been life changing for us. His methods slanted with me because the are based on learning theory and truly work. I have worked with another trainer in the past, but Robert taught me what I need to do differently. Tucson can be stubborn (litter wide trait), but constant training with him has helped him become one fantastic dog. He recently started agility class with Robert, and is working on his confidence with these skills.

My 10-year old Pitbull Max has been to about 5 other trainers in the valley for his dog aggression (which started after being attacked by 2 dogs) before I called Robert. Robert is the first trainer that we have been to where Max is not stressed out being with him. He is very professional, calm, and treats both myself and Max with respect. I was not given an hour by hour military style schedule to keep my dog on; he is not "required to be in a crate 20 hours a day" like other trainers have told me to do. I do not have to shock my dog until he is compliant, or use any other negative reinforcement gadgets. My dog can be a dog and he is making great strides. Max is starting to settle a lot more with dogs in sightline. This is a huge step forward when other trainers have told me to put him down or give him up. Couldn't be more pleased with the progress so far and it's only been about 2 weeks of work.

Simply stated - Robert is phenomenal! His presence from the moment he walked through our front door had our pack of dogs mesmerized. We were in total shock. Normally they would have been barking, jumping and carrying on. He spoke softly and with a friendly tone. Suddenly, they were all super calm and they all wanted to be his best friend. You have to understand that our dogs don't do that with anyone. They are almost all COVID dogs so they aren't as well socialized as we'd like. We signed up for a training package and got started the following week. We have been so impressed with Robert's knowledge of the different dog breeds and that he trains them based on their individual breed traits. That's a feat with our pack. We have an Alaskan Malamute, a Border Collie, a Mastiff mix, a Great Pyrenees mix, and two supermutts (one mostly Pitbull and the other mostly Chow). We have learned so much from Robert and the simple tricks he's taught us have really made our home a more peaceful place. We understand that we still have a good deal of work ahead of us because we have a motley crew of rescue pups who all have different ancestry and natural instincts, but Robert has saved our sanity.
