Confident Canine with Julie Taylor

My wife did quite a bit of research to find a dog trainer for our puppy within the Alexandria, Louisiana area. She came across Julie’s information and saw that she was a dog behaviorist and a dog trainer. She utilizes positive reinforcement during her basic obedience classes. Julie started the process by performing an initial assessment to see where our 12 week old puppy ranked, as far as confidence, skill, base, attention, etc. She then set us up on a five week training platform, where we attended a weekly one hour class with Julie and our puppy. We were amazed at how quickly our puppy learned new skills. We also were amazed at learning the signs our puppy would give off, such as yawning or stretching, that Julie could explain why certain behaviors happened at certain times. This was an eye-opener for us to understand when and how to go about working with our puppy during our training sessions. We just recently completed our five week course and our puppy is thoroughly trained with the following commands: sit, stay, lay down, heal, off, and up. One thing Julie mentioned, is that everyone in the family should follow through with training. If not, the puppy, or at least ours, listens to the one person that takes her to training. So, I have started working with our puppy too, and it’s making a difference. We would recommend Julie to anyone that has a new fur baby or a dog that needs some obedience training or behavior modification. She is absolutely amazing! Also! Her son Danny, has an amazing boarding facility for your dogs and Julie offers add on refresher classes anytime you board at their facility to continue their skills.

I did a lot of research on possible trainers, for our 12 week old Bernedoodle puppy, and I came across Julie Taylor. She is not only a dog trainer, but a behaviorist and teaches the owner how to look for certain signs that their puppy gives off during training that can really help you with teaching new tasks. I read most of the reviews and they were all spectacular and I recognized many of the people that she has worked from within our community. You will work along side of Julie and she teaches you how to be confident in your skills which spill over into your puppy’s confidence, as well. Our puppy, Lillie, was sitting, laying down, and following basic commands the first day of training using positive reinforcement only. We have continued our training with Julie and we are so happy with Lillie’s progress. Julie is also available to work with and continue the training with your furbaby when you go on vacation and board at their wonderful facilities for refresher courses! I would recommend Julie to anyone that has a puppy or dog that needs some assistance with their training or behavior.

I’m so glad I chose Miss Julie to train my dog. She has shown me that, with the right equipment and techniques, training doesn’t have to be difficult. She explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand, which makes it much easier for me to continue working with my dog at home. She teaches me what to watch for, how to read his movements, when eye contact is important, and even when it’s not necessary. Every lesson gives me more confidence, and I’ve seen great progress because of what she’s taught us. Everything is going really well, and I’m so happy I chose Miss Julie. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and supportive dog trainer.

Julie has always and continues to go above and beyond for the dog and client. I have had both my service dog training with Julie and when I tell you she is golden and worth it . She gives clear directions for your dog and yourself. She loves what she does, and it shows. She has help myself build confidence as service dog handler and she helps every dog to achieve their best!
