Review I’m very disappointed with the overall outcome of the training. I paid a significant amount of money and expected to see a noticeable improvement in my dog, but unfortunately I did not feel that I received the results I was promised. Communication during the training was also very difficult. It was often hard to get updates, and my messages were not answered promptly. When I picked up my dog, he was limping and holding up his leg, which was very concerning to me. I contacted the trainer about it and tried to follow up, but I did not receive the response and support I expected. After spending so much money on a six-week training program, my dog still had many of the same behavior issues, and I was not happy with the overall outcome or follow-up care. I understand that every dog is different and training takes time, but based on my personal experience, I do not feel that I received the level of service, communication, and results I expected for the amount I paid. I would not choose this training service again.

Highly recommend!!! My 100 lb German shepherd started showing signs of reactivity as he reached his first bday. To the point I was uncomfortable taking him on walks in the neighborhood. I tried the pet store training classes, but they had me train behind a barrier and I did not see any progress. By chance I ran into a lady at Home Depot with an extremely well behaved German shepherd. I inquired about training and she referred me to her trainer at Cooperhaus. We have completed 4 of the 5 level 1 classes and I’m blown away at the improvement. Not just in my dog’s behavior but in my confidence as a handler. I can’t wait to continue to level 2 and see how much further we advance. If you’re on the fence about signing up here’s my advice: do it! You won’t regret it.

Our adopted dog went from minimal training and out of control walks to happily showing off his new skills amid the distraction of 20 other dogs and owners, even able to follow verbal commands off leash. We completed both level 1 and level 2 courses. Now we are planning to enroll again to refine the more stubborn reactivity issues and work on recall. If you have a dog that has seemed resistant to typical group training programs (or who wasn't eligible due to behaviors), talk with Cooperhaus. We were hesitant at first because they promote use of a Herm Sprenger prong collar (not required), but their approach turned out to be the solution that our dog actually responded well to. He was excited to go to class, and use of the agility course afterwards was a highlight and reward.
