FirstBarkWe took our 6 month old golden retriever to Matt for a puppy training break in and it work out better then we could have ever asked for. He gun broke him and got him on a lot of birds and has the basics down. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in a trainer. I highly recommend Matt and plan to have him do a more extensive training when our dog is ready. Thanks!

I have utilized Matt and Copperwood Kennels over the past year for training my German Wirehair and Labrador. Matt has done an excellent job with both dogs, consistently communicating with me and taking the time to answer all my questions. He has patiently walked me through his training process and taught me how to handle the dogs in the field. I highly recommend Copperwood Kennels.

I was referred to Copperwood kennels by another trainer and I could not be more pleased with the progress my dog made over the last month. Matt is very knowledgeable when it comes to training pointers, he also provides a lot of really good feedback for how to continue on with training. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a hunting dog trainer.
Matt did such an amazing job with my pointer. She was having a difficult time developing her point. After two months with Matt she is doing amazing.

I highly recommend Copperwood Kennels! They answered any and every question we had and treated us with great respect. He asks many questions of what your goals are and ideal dog would be to make sure he trains them to your expectations. When we got our dog back, he trained her for everything we wanted. She was so happy and well behaved. You could easily tell that she was treated as though it was their dog and loved the entire time.
