Copperwood Kennels

We purchased a puppy from Copperwood Kennels and had a great experience. Matt was easy to communicate with, flexible with the timeframe, and very prompt with answering all our questions. Our puppy Titan is a machine on the water, yet has the ability to flip a switch and be perfect with our 6-year-old and 4-year-old sons. He is the perfect mix of a driven water dog and a family companion. We will be purchasing again from this outfit.

I sent my 6 month old lab pup to Matt for 4 months and wow did he turn my dog around. My dog lacked the drive to hunt at first and now is a hell bent bird dog. Not only that Matt was great with communicating where my dog was at in the training process and what to expect after training. He also has continued to give advice after training which has helped our dog perform even better in the blind. Thankful for Matt and Copperwood kennels, will definitely be sending all my pups here!

3 years ago i called Matt and asked him if he by chance had any pups available. To my surprise he had one left. He told me exactly what kind of dog i would receive based off the demeanor and drive of both parents. I can tell you 100% without a doubt that what Matt told me is exactly what i got. My boy Jax is by far the best dog i have ever hunted with in 23 years of waterfowling and he is the biggest sweetheart at home. In the field he goes from the dog that loves everyone to like a switch he turns into full hunt mode and all he cares about is his job. Jax is taking blinds, running doubles, triples and even more at times and he casts with the best of them. I’m completely thrilled to have a dog of this caliber and I cannot say enough about the dogs bred through Matt at Copperwood

Matt at Copperwood Kennels is a phenomenal trainer! Matt took the time to build a solid foundation of basic obedience before moving on to force fetch and other retrieving skills. Throughout the process Matt stayed in contact with me to update me on my dogs progress. When time came he encouraged and facilitated me attending training. As my dogs time with Matt ended, Matt made known to me that he wished to keep her to polish one thing just a little longer. Matt did not charge me extra. He proved that he cares both about his customer while maintaining a strict adherence to a standard in the dogs he sends home. My dog is a joy at home and in the field and sending her to Copperwood Kennels is some of the best money I have ever spent.
