Core Canine

April is the best! My puppy and I have just completed her preschool and middle school classes and it was the best experience! You can tell right away that she takes COVID very seriously, with her super clean room and small class sizes. She was also super knowledgeable and kind. My puppy and I both learned a lot from her and throughly enjoyed going to class. I highly recommend going to Core Canine for dog training.

Olivia (no relation to me) was incredible. She introduced a very excitable dog to down, place, touch, stay, and drop-it in a single session and had him doing all of those by the end of our time together. More importantly: she understood what our dog needed in ways that we didn't and was able to clearly communicate what we needed to do in our time together. We definitely feel like we understand him so much better now, and he's making great progress. Can't recommend her enough.

My husband and I just completed the group training course with our dog and we couldn't be more thrilled! April is a fantastic trainer that equipped us with effective and useful strategies to teach our dog all the basic commands. He's learned a ton! She provides us with helpful handouts of everything learned in class and is responsive to any questions you may have. Best yet, April respects and works with each dog's comfort zone and unique personality. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed each session. Her prices are also extremely reasonable, especially for this area. It was a great experience all-around!

We just finished our first private session with April, and we couldn't be happier! Our 5 month old puppy has previously been uncomfortable with visitors in his space. Since the session was in our home, April was able to show us first hand some great strategies to help him settle down. She listened to all of our rambling about behaviors we've noticed in our puppy and agreed with what we wanted to prioritize in terms of his training; she was even able to quickly identify and work towards resolving a trigger we didn't even know our dog had! If we tried something and it didn't work, April knew how to help us adjust our behavior so we could better communicate with our dog. I am very much not a risk taker in terms of health - I was perfectly comfortable having April in our home. Everyone remained masked and we easily maintained social distance during the session. She was very respectful and conscious of her actions in regards to keeping everyone safe, which is much appreciated. We definitely got more than our money's worth with this session. April was great with our puppy, we learned so much about new ways to engage our puppy, and we covered every single topic we brought up throughout the session. On top of being a great trainer, April was also just genuinely fun to hang out with. Overall, we had such a great experience that we went ahead and registered our puppy in Core Canine's kindergarten class. We can't wait to learn more with him and help him live his best life!
