Country Hill Canine Dog Training

Just choose this one! Freshly postpartum with a GSP puppy was not the best idea. Our boy needed special attention and training. We arrived at a lovely location that has plenty of quiet outdoor space for him to run and friends for him to play with. We met with Starla who thoroughly went through his training and expectations, as well as asking about specific behaviors we'd like to curb. We did the 3 week board and train program and he went from small crazy raptor puppy to a proper gentleman. He now can loose leash walk, off leash stay in the yard, know to stay in place when we tell him, respect my baby and I's space in the house, and no jumping. We brought him back for a refresher a year later for after having moved an hour away and settling in. Starla really helped translate exactly what kind of dog Cowboy is, his needs for routine and toys to live his best life. Throughout the entire experience, we were given updates and videos and pictures, and you can really see how much they care for each pup they take in. I can't say how happy I am that I chose here to bring him here, and will continue to do so 👏👏👏

My 4 year old Parson Jack Russell Terrorist was absolutely transformed by his three week board and train experience with Starla and Chris this summer. I had tried multiple kinds of training from puppy kindergarten, advanced obedience, agility training, 1:1 behavioral therapy, and we were not able to help Katsu with his reactivity, pulling, and sometimes aggressiveness towards other dogs, and occasionally, people. Starla provided the boundaries, communication skills, and most importantly, loving understanding that got through to Katsu. She helped me understand that Katsu's breed and personality as a working dog require different kinds of outlets and activities. Starla is so dedicated and experienced, and I was 100% confident that she truly understood how to work with Katsu's particular quirks, and she helped teach me what I can do to keep him engaged and relaxed. Starla is an amazing teacher, and she and Chris provided a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for Katsu to learn with other dogs. I am now able to take Katsu into busy environments, visit and stay over with other dogs, and even walk off leash in safe outdoor environments. Katsu has so much more freedom and confidence than he ever had before, and I'm incredibly grateful to Starla and Chris for their professionalism and kindness. They have welcomed Katsu back for boarding, and he always loves seeing them in follow up training sessions, and staying with them at their superb facility. I cannot recommend them enough-- Katsu is a wonderful, loving companion, but he was very, very difficult before this life-changing training. Thank you so much!
