Country Hill Canine Dog Training

I needed some remedial obedience training specifically before my 1 year old pug’s evaluation test as a therapy dog. We worked on my specific concerns and Starla really gave me some great ideas to get my dog to be consistent. We worked on trouble spots and when he routinely did them well, worked on the testing elements as well. The facility was fantastic; a rubberized floor, well air conditioned during the summer heat and equipment was available to use as needed. Additionally, the hourly training fee was very reasonable. I highly recommend Starla and Country Hill Canine for all your dog-training needs.

Despite a lot of training, our Sully continued to be a handful and we were at our wits' end. So, when we saw an ad for NEDT, we decided to try their 2 week board/train program. Starla is a joy to work with... and is clearly a miracle worker! She turned Sully around and gave us the necessary tools to help him be the best boy he can be! We recommend NEDT highly and look forward to boarding Sully there when we travel as we know he'll be well taken care of!

Our family welcomed a high-energy Springer Spaniel puppy last summer to our home. We had a tough time curbing some naughty puppy behavior (jumping, counter-surfing, endless barking) and turned to Starla for help. Maggie attended the 3-week program in December. When she came back we couldn't believe it was the same dog - she was SO well behaved! Just a few of our significantly improved behaviors include: 1. We've curbed her barking! She now knows and understands that barking won't deliver a desired result. 2. She's learned how to settle and observe (via place) instead of being in the middle of everything constantly. We have a human toddler and Maggie would frequently steal his toys or just stand on them to get attention. She's content sitting on her bed observing his play time now. 3. She's a very solid on-leash and off-leash walker. She has the best recall I've ever seen with a dog - Starla worked her magic here. It's so fulfilling as we can let her run on the beach or the trails off leash without concern. We're a few months out from her training session and she's retaining what she learned. Starla was kind enough to come to our house for a refresher recently - it was super helpful for both Maggie and us. Maggie will also stay with her again later this Spring when we travel. We're so appreciative of everything Starla has done for Maggie and our family. We look forward to many years to come working with her.
