Country Life K9 Training

There is not enough space on any review platform to sing the praises of Country Life K9. I had trained my lab, Daisy myself but there were behaviors’ and skills that we just couldn’t accomplish-a third party was needed. She needed impulse control as she jumped to greet you and when given ANY opportunity-she bolted out the door! She wanted to be involved in everything and everyone, to have better leash manners and to try and control that typical puppy, lab energy. I also wanted to make sure that I could groom her without her getting the “zoomies” all over the house. My other dog, as I say, adopted us…very unexpectedly at 4 months old. She had only lived outside, didn’t have much human interaction on a consistent basis nor had she ever been leash trained…but grooming was a nightmare out of a Steven King novel! She quite literally freaked out when nail clippers of any kind came out. We had tried everything, and they all failed. Before sending her to Lauren & Sarah, we had to hang her up in a straight jacket of sorts so that she couldn’t get away or push us off of her; even that didn’t work well and our vet resorted to giving her sedation so that we could trim her nails, it was a lot of sedation, pills the night before and then 2 hours before clipping the nails the day of and that was even unsuccessful! We were literally facing the option of having to bring her to the vet and have her put under anesthesia to get her nails cut; which was not something I was willing to do. I had a friend who sent their dog to Lauren & Sarah and so I started “following” Country Life K9 almost two years ago; the skills she teaches and the behaviors that result from that is what I dreamed of for my dogs. The dogs seem “perfect” in her videos she posts on Facebook and the knowledge she has regarding behavior and training is top notch in my opinion! They both seem to have a way to get through to a dog, making them listen to their every word. But most importantly-the dogs RESPECT them and truly seem calm and comfortable in their care and that, to me, tells me all I need to know about Lauren & Sarah’s philosophies on training and caring for dogs. In this economy, spending your money is a precious thing and while some might consider dog training a luxury, I think it is an absolute necessity! It’s a lot of money, but the outcome is worth every cent of it; it’s an investment into your dog’s livelihood and mostly, into your relationship with your dog and that is priceless. If you are considering training for your dog, Country Life K9 is IT! If you are on the fence of spending the money-I promise you, you won’t regret the investment in your dogs. I can groom my dog and cut her nails while she calmly lays down in the "place" command. Its a dream. They both do so well off leash and I can take them anywhere and they act like perfect little puppies. Thank you Lauren & Sarah for changing our lives!!!

I highly recommend Country Life K9 Training! We have a Pitty, Trigger, he’s the sweetest, but VERY hyper and hard headed. He loves everyone and all things. At one point I wasn’t sure he was trainable. After watching his very first video with Lauren, I knew he would come back a new pup, and boy did he! He’s definitely still puppy, he gets super excited and still loves to play, but it’s much easier to get him back to listening to the commands we all learned. Couldn’t recommend Lauren and Sarah enough!

We sent our 1-year-old male Siberian Husky, Adonis, to Country Life K9 Training—and it was truly the best decision we could have made. Before training, Adonis was completely out of control. Walks were a nightmare of pulling, distractions, and frustration. But thanks to Lauren and Sarah—who are absolutely the best in the business—Adonis came back transformed. What used to be stressful, chaotic walks have now become peaceful and enjoyable outings, even with our 85-pound powerhouse of a husky. The obedience and structure they taught him have made such a difference in our daily lives. He now goes into his crate willingly (no more battles!), he’s stopped counter surfing, and he remains focused and calm on walks despite distractions. Even grooming—which used to take two adults just to manage—is now so much easier. He’s calmer, more cooperative, and actually tolerates the process without all the stress and struggle. The foundation they built with commands and behavior has turned Adonis into a joy to have at home. Lauren and Sarah are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and clearly care deeply about the dogs they train. If you're considering boarding your pup for training, I can confidently say that Country Life K9 Training is the best in the business. We couldn’t be happier with the results!
