Cowboy K9 Training

We had a growly dog with occasional outbursts and needed help. We had previously worked with obedience training, but needed more. Paul’s approach was customized and effective. His philosophy is creating behavioral change and instilling discipline through play. We took our hound to board with Paul and Assistant Dave so they could escalate the training process. At our midpoint check-in, results were obvious and more importantly our boy seemed happy to be there. Paul is all in, and does whatever it takes to ensure you are able to reinforce the training and maintain the new behaviors once your pet comes home. His methods work and we are thrilled to have our boy home.

I came to Paul with Hugo at almost a year old and soon after a difficult time dealing with an early lower back injury. Not being able to engage with a high energy Malinois puppy and his recovery extending several months, Paul rebuilt our relationship through teaching the concepts of the actual games we call play. We quickly developed the bond I feared I lost for good with Hugo and became the strongest relationship I’ve had with any dog. I most likely would be without Hugo now if not meeting Paul at this critical time of thinking to give up. We continued training desired behaviors which quickly solved the unwanted behaviors, working with his predefined genetics and emotions as a continuous process of how I communicate to him with confidence in any environment we find ourselves. This was very different than past trainers that only try to control a dog’s energy or attitude with limited reasoning for reward or punishment. Paul’s patience and understanding of canine behavior is what anyone can ever hope to be lucky enough to find in a trainer. Thank you, Paul for all you did for us!
